Project Spotlight: Turbine

Zap Creative was hired by Turbine to design the structure of their 20x30 island exhibit for the recent PAX show in Seattle.
Turbine had several challenges in the exhibit design, they were looking for a reception counter, a central tower to house servers, and 8 kiosks or workstations connected to the tower. Being a video game developer, the tower needed to act as a server room for very large, very hot workstations. They needed 8 workstations with large monitors so players could demo Turbines latest release, Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Zap Creative came up with a central tower with light wood laminate, aluminum extrusions and tension graphics at the top to showcase the new games logo and artwork. Two 12' high "L" shaped towers were created to display more dynamic artwork and game play scenes. The central room has a graphic on one end that is also a door to allow access to the interior. The inside had custom shelves to house literature, personal effects and the servers.
